Since joining Savage & Associates in 1997, Michelle has become a specialist in disability insurance and in designing competitive plans for small businesses including employee retirement, life, health, and disability benefits, as well as for business continuation. Her main focus are families whose needs are similar to her own, especially families in the public service sector. As an insurance and investment specialist, Michelle concerns herself with issues that are important to her market niche, such as insurance needs, college planning, and retirement strategies.

Experience

Michelle currently holds her Ohio and Michigan life licenses, along with series 6 and 63 securities licenses. She is completing required courses for her Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF) designation and plans to complete her Certified Financial Planner (CFP) requirements within the next few years. She has recently accepted a board member position with the Toledo Area of Insurance and Financial Advisors so she may continue to expand her career and knowledge of industry issues, as well as give back to the industry.

Education

Michelle graduated from Lourdes College in Sylvania, Ohio, with a bachelor's degree in business administration.

Personal

Michelle and her husband, Greg, live in Berkey, Ohio where Michelle was born and raised. Greg is a fire-fighter with Sylvania Township and is also a representative for his district with the Ohio Association of Professional Firefighters. They have two children, Mariah and Jerod, who attend Holy Trinity grade school and participate in various activities that keep their lives well-rounded. Michelle enjoys traveling, camping, hiking, and working outdoors. She is involved with community issues and works with her church, St. Elizabeth of Hungary. She remains involved with Lourdes College as the Alumni Board Vice President and with Notre Dame Academy where she, her mother, five sisters, and numerous nieces attended high school.
